"Now I remember why I drew as a kid. It was so relaxing. I never considered myself an artist with natural talent, but I loved how drawing and coloring made me feel great!" -Denisse, San Francisco

Oh, to live in a place of my fantasy, that would always include all my friends and my family. I will be clear and not at all be abstruse, I wish to live in the place created by Dr. Seuss. #DrSeuss #fantasy #familyandfriends #mypainting #alternativeuniverse

"A year ago I was in rehab and we were asked to draw a tree and I was so messed up that I couldn't draw one. So I wanted to give it a go now. I also think that it symbolizes a new start. I missed out on months of my one-year-old's life. So now that I get to spend time with him, I love taking advantage of every moment." -Jasmine, volunteering @RedCross for community service hours because of a #DUI #treedrawing #rehab #somessedup #art #arttherapy #hotmess #newstart

This is a two step project: 1. Paint wavy bands of color. This can be soothing and it is making bilateral brain connections. 2. When paint is dry, write positive things about yourself with permanent marker. #positivepsychology #painting #strong #goodfood #icanlearn #icanshare #art #arttherapy

I made this today. Just strips of paper glued together at an angle. New research shows that repetitive and creative behavior can reduce anxiety. (Coming soon: a new 3 Minute Art Therapy podcast showing this process) #paperandglue #craft #art #arttherapy #podcast #reduceanxiety #anxiety
